Day Care at The Vivekananda is a full day program that includes sleeping, eating and other bodily care. A Child is learning, groring and developing at all times and thus needs to be engaged in meaningful, playful and joyful learning experiences throughout the day. Day care program is designed for a child of age 9 Months+ such that the child can enjoy, learn and develop the most they can in a day before returning to their parents to have a quality time in the evening.

Medical Room is for non-emergencies such as a headache, stomach ache, toothache and general first aid and is open every day during break and lunch times for students to access. If a student needs to come to the medical room during lesson time a teacher will decide whether to send them there and will provide a written note.
Kitchen garden is to grow vegetables on a small plot of land. It is delightful hobby and can be pursued at homes or in school. Develop a taste for kitchen gardening and it will stay in your life.
Healthy eating is necessary for healthy development. That's why it's so important to offer children healthy food choices; options that will nurture their bodies and fuel brain development.
Food preferences start to develop in infancy. Early childhood is also a critical time to learn about recognizing and responding to hunger cues. Children form lifelong eating habits based on the kinds of foods served to them when they are young.
But it's not just about the foods served - healthy eating habits are influenced by the entire mealtime experience, as well as other learning activities involving food like gardening and taste tests.
And we are offering food from our own kitchen for ensuring all the necessary nutrition will be getting by the kids.
Our goal is to meet the child's nutritional needs and create positive eating habits that will last a lifetime. During meals children learn not only healthy eating habits, but learn about being understood, respected and cared for.
Talk about healthy foods - describing them and respond positively to children's reactions. Show children how to share the responsibility of community food activities: preparing, serving, eating and cleaning up. Children want to learn new things and want to help.

The auditorium is a central and important space. It is used for all types of formal assembly: lectures, award ceremonies and dramatic plays. It also provide ample opportunities for students to showcase their talents through various activities, presentations and talks Multipurpose halls are being used to host exhibitions, talks and functions.
For a long time, sports have been viewed as a way to stay healthy and in shape, but their importance goes much further. As a matter of fact, playing sports teaches life lessons like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, accountability, and teamwork.

Classroom parties-like birthday and holiday celebrations-help kids relax, socialize, and have fun. There are plenty of ways to plan and organize parties and events that can teach kids healthy habits. Hosting healthier parties helps to teach children to enjoy celebrations that do not always involved a lot of sweet treats. Healthy school celebrations also promote positive lifestyle choices and reinforce good habits such as eating healthy food and being active.
Kids are having a blast finger-painting with a mix of colors. Little kids are masters of the moment - they love the way it feels when they smear paint on paper, how it looks when they sprinkle glitter, and even the soft sound a brush makes as it crosses the page. It also helping him develop mentally, socially, and emotionally. Creating art may boost young children's ability to analyze and problem-solved in myriad ways: It's the Process, Not the Product. As kids manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve. By counting pieces and colors, they learn the basics of math. When children experiment with materials, they dabble in science. Most important perhaps, when kids feel good while they are creating, art helps boost self-confidence. And children who feel able to experiment and to make mistakes feel free to invent new ways of thinking, which extends well beyond the craft room.

Part of our new curriculum is a new approach to laboratory. Instead of having students perform an illustrative experiment in the lab each week in an effort to reinforce ideas from the lecture, we have identified a set of basic practical skills every chemistry student should have in order to prepare for the modern workplace. In the foundation laboratories, students perform their own lab experiments so that they can develop a sense of independence and competency. Lab is independently paced; individual students choose which experiment they will do during a given lab period. They can and do ask questions of their instructor, their TA and each other. Lab hours and skills are rolled into early courses. These courses are focused on training students for research projects and ultimately for handling the sort of open-ended questions they may face in the workplace or graduate and professional schools. An integrated lab, taken during junior year, serves as a capstone for the laboratory experience. There are no labs in the other in-depth courses, so that junior and senior students can undertake academic-year research.

Our school is heading towards a new horizon under the leadership of worthy principal Dr. Anita Kamboj & dynamic and young director Mr. Sanjay Kamboj. ”The Scintillating result of X & XII has proved that the institution is bound to impart quality education as we have got 100% result in the board exams. In XII, 14 students got 95% & above and 50 students above 90% and total 120 merits in board exams. Our 3 students first time in district got first 3 positions in Commerce Stream. Kajal Gupta with 96.7% as District Topper. Shivani Goel with 96.6 % second in District & Gaurav Khera, Lakshit with 96.2 % third in District. Aman Goel, Anmol Bhushan & Vibhor Singhla got 95% non –medical and were school toppers. In medical Khyati got 94.8% as school topper. This is one of the biggest achievements of the school when we got 73 CGPA-10 which is the maximum number in the District. We got 137 students got CGPA-9 and above grades. This year our 13 students Aman, Udit, Vibhor, Sahil Kukreja, Sahil Kaushal, Kartikey, Saurav, Shubham, Deepanshu, Akshit, Ritu, Viney & Deepak qualified for IIT ADVANCED. Anmol Wason of XII has attended conference at ESINOLARIO ITALY hosted by WIKIMEDIA foundation for his volunteer work. The organization bears all his expenses. In national cyber Olympiad 2015, Khushi, Prabhav, Atharv, Harkirat, Fariha, Keshav and Manan got Gold Medal. In science Olympiad Anshu got scholarship amounting ` 5000 for being a single girl child under Science Olympiad Function. Our student Nitin has got award by Deputy Commissioner of Yamunanagar for his achievements in scientific fields. Radhika & Tansha Malik got scholarship of ` 55000 from SCERT, Gurugram. These are only students in district who got the scholarship.
Harshit Aggarwal who presented his views on the topic SCOURAGE OF DRUGS published in Hindustan Times. Mansi Gupta won inter school Hindi declamation contest held at MLN public school. Akashdeep of class X got Consolation Prize in Inter School English Debate Competition held at Sant Nischal Singh Public School Yamunanagar. In Mullana our student Saksham got 1st prize Inter School Debate Competition where around 40 schools participated. In Inter School Literary Day Competition held at Guru Nanak Khalsa Institute of technology & management our students Aashna, Muskaan got 1st position, Arshit Kapoor & Yashika got second position & Abhishek Marwaha. In Pentasoft Quiz Contest Ruquiya Ara, Aanusha, Rudram, Daksh, Devanshi, Aryan of Class first & Lakshay, Srijan, Tiksha, Diksha, Aanandi, Shivam, Krishna of class second got Gold Medals. In Science Talent Search Examination Sejal, Sanskriti, Aayush, Prabhjot won Gold Medal at National Level. Dhruv Kaushik of class VI won best entry prize for Joys of Jewelry under Heritage Education INTACH. Our student Simarpreet Kaur got third position at National Level Gatka Competition organized by Delhi Gurudwara. In commerce quiz Manik Aggarwal , Riya Singhal and Radha got third position and in Science Quiz Vivek Aggarwal, Vipul Goel and Yash got second position and in G.K. Mansi Gupta , Gagan and Vikramjeet got first position.
Our two students Mansi Gupta, Shivani Verma got selected for District Level in Essay Writing Competition. Inspire Camp Porgramme organized by govt. of India where our students Mehul, Vishwas, Mudit, Shubh , Abhishek Marwaha attend five days workshop held at Hissar. In Eratosthenes many of the students of our school participated and got certificate from Eric Vayasee of famous scientist of France. Mr. Gaurav kumar our science teacher was selected as resource person and guided other teachers of district yamunanagar in teachers training workshop held by national child congress and he was also selected as district science co-ordinator by Haryana vigyan manch.

To compete with this modern world, the school has started smart classes, now the students are being shaped for future under our expert teachers. A separate new building with EDU-COMP classes is constructed for our Tiny-Tots. Swimming Pool with water treatment facility, skating rink, lush green play ground & lawns, volley ball court, tennis court, basket ball court, 2 big air-conditioned . auditoriums, well equipped labs, Yagyashala & different clubs for all co-curricular activities are salient features of our quality education.
Medals are made not only of gold, silver & bronze but they are made of sweat, determination & sacrifices. The ‘Golden Girl’ Mani Kamboj represented Indian Team in Asian Roller Skating Championship consecutive two years held in China and clinched Gold Medal. She also participated in world skating championship at Chile (South America). Vikrant Singh, Sohil Garg, Shubham Sharma and Jayson are our International Skaters. They participated in international events at Spain, America, China & Columbia. Till now our skaters received ` 1 Crore from Haryana Sports Department. Recently Sohil, Vikrant, Jayson hounoured by Chief Minister of Haryana. Our Sub Junior Girls won gold medal in state roller skating championship held at Karnal.
In the same championship our Sub Junior Boys & Junior Girls and Senior Girls won Silver Medal. Till now our school has produced more than 50 National Level Players. Mr. Vishal Bakshi is twice honoured by District Administration on republic day for his contribution towards field of sports.
The Director of school Mr. Sanjay Kamboj has great interest & love for sports. He always promotes and encourages the rising talent of the school. Under his guidance only we got distinction in the field of sports. First time in our district 150 students participated in Haryana School State Tournament in various games. In the guidance of Mr. Vishal Kumar our 6 students Yuvraj Pandit, Siddhart Basatia, Muskaan, Tushar Aggarwal, Manmeet Kaur & Dhruv got second position in state level Tennis Championship. The coaching of Mr. Sachin Panjeta swift the talent of many young cricketers at State & National Level. This year our under-19 Cricket Team won District Level Tournaments & qualify for State Level held at Sonipat.
ART & CRAFT
A District Level Painting Competition was organized in Bal Bhawan. Jaspreet of class IX got the second prize and was selected for the National Level. Shivangi of class XII got the first prize in District Level Painting Competition organized in Khalsa Girls College. Ojasvi Kamboj of class VII was honoured by our chief minister Mr. M.L. Khattar for standing first in State Level Painting Competition.
EXTRA CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
We have also conducted so many intra-school activities like: Science, Art & Craft Exhibition, Sports Day, Fete, Re-Union Party with Alumni & celebrations on different occasions like Mother’s Day, Teej, Janamashtmi, Dusshera, Diwali & Christmas Day.
If we revert, we find that with the blessings of Swami Ji the institution has shown remarkable progress in academics & non–academics. This institution has gifted IAS, IITs, IIMs, qualified executives, Army Officers through NDA & CDSE, Doctors, Pilots, Executives in MNCs, International players and many more to the society & to the Nation.
